I love this writing Su! How many times has someone regretted not acting on their instinct, even if rightfully so regarding financial circumstances…but the painting staying in your memory and you making a water color based on that memory, wow. That is something not valued enough, what kind of impact looking, seeing, keen observation has. You’ve been living with the painting.
