Staying away from other people in order to keep them safe is an utterly depressing experience. If you are going to the grocery store anyway, and you can afford it, buy some extra things and drop them off at the Golden Harvest Food Pantry, help someone else and feel better about yourself. For the moment, they are only accepting canned and dried foods. They are extremely nice people. If we ask them what they need, they just say whatever we want to bring. So we started with the rice and beans and all that, but considering the fact that we may end up joining that very long line—who knows? these days?— we’ve added mayonnaise, cooking oil, potato chips, cake mix, coffee, and other things we might hope to find.
They are open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-12.
