I love that quote and maybe charcoal should be added, too.
Jacque Rochester’s work is luscious and generous but she’s awfully sparse with her words. I asked what she is thinking about these days and this is what she said:
“These drawings are medium and dark. The work I am doing now is light-hearted taking me to new places. I look and follow. . My self changes and my work continues.
So…, sensual and enigmatic, I can live with that.
